Why Patience Pays Off: A Lesson in Trusting the Process

Patience helps us accept or tolerate disappointments, problems, or suffering without becoming upset. I also see patience as essential to surrendering and trusting the Universe that all will be okay. Things happen in Divine time, not our timetable.
It was not always easy for me to be patient. When I was younger, I achieved many things. My spiritual path was not as deep back then, and I frequently assumed I was the powerhouse making everything happen. I put pressure on myself to accomplish more and often said 'yes' to projects that I later realized I didn't want to do or didn't have the time to complete. If I had been willing to slow down and trust the spiritual guidance desperately trying to get my attention, I would have learned the 'patience lesson' much sooner.
Relinquishing my role as the driver of my life has brought a profound sense of relief and peace. I've come to love the fact that I'm not in control. My practice now includes waiting for guidance, however long that may take. Messages and guidance from the spirit world can come in many ways. I tend to process through feeling. Usually, I will receive a completely unexpected message, which is my way of knowing it is a Spirit Guide message rather than my intuition. As I am receiving the message, there is a moment when I feel my Spirit Guide's presence. I give myself time to fully process the message and understand what Spirit wants me to do.
My recently broken right thumb has brought many patience lessons. It's a jolt to tell a writer they can't write until the injury has completely healed. I wasn't too concerned when the doctor said I only needed to wear the cast for three weeks. Later, I discovered I would have three more weeks of wearing a splint. After my 3rd X-ray, the time for the splint increased to three more weeks when I was out in public. The doctor said I could start writing again but must take frequent breaks; I consider that a win.
Initially, the primary spirit lesson was to rest, relax, and not participate in a writing project until my thumb healed. Spirit spoke up when I learned the doctor wanted to limit my activities for an additional month. At the beginning of this week, I received an early morning message telling me I needed to change my daily schedule because it was time to be more active and committed to healing our planet.
Back in the fall of 2020, when I began writing my teaching memoir, my Spirit Guides insisted I have a session with a psychic. I resisted the idea until the millennium woman who encouraged me to write my book contacted me, raving about a psychic reading she had in Oaxaca. I realized Spirit was trying to get my attention, so I contacted the psychic. I already knew most of what she told me. However, there was new information that took me entirely by surprise. She said the idea of safety for our planet was grounded inside me. She also told me my healing frequency is so powerful that it is difficult to describe.
What she told me next was mind-altering. She saw a dark entity in my belly. She said the entity looked like a scorpion or spider, affecting my throat and mouth energy. It has kept me using a filter rather than being in my truth. This dark energy makes me feel unseen, not appreciated or understood. She said the dark entity was affecting my spiritual gifts and abilities.
As she was talking, my Spirit Guides gave me a nudge that it was Roberto, the shaman I met in Ecuador, who placed the entity in my belly after the massacre in ancient Egypt. It was his way of protecting me so that there would not be a repeat of what happened in the ancient Egyptian lifetime, which was a genocide of almost everyone who came from the Wise One's dimension.
When I had a session with Eduardo, the shamanic curandero I work with in Mexico, my mother had just died. Eduardo agreed with me that it was Roberto who put the black entity inside me. He said the minute my mother died and left her body, the dark entity was spontaneously removed.
Witnessing my growth since the entity has been gone has been truly awe-inspiring. All my wisdom, knowledge, abilities, and powers have returned. I get stronger every day. The shift is often so dramatic that I think, "Wow, I am not the same person I was yesterday." Fueled by my spiritual growth, this transformation fills me with inspiration and hope for the future.
The most shocking of the psychic's visions was when she told me I could heal the world by myself. The catch is that it would take everything out of me to do it, and I would pass on to another dimension. If I could do something to heal the world, I would do it in a heartbeat. My only concern was my son—would he feel I abandoned him? Fortunately, he has come a long way since 2020, even telling me he was ready to become a healer last year. I have recalled numerous past lives I have had with my son, so I feel confident we will find each other again.
When Eduardo and I initially talked about me healing the planet, we both felt Spirit would let me know when it was time and tell me exactly what to do. So, when I got the message this week that the time for action was getting close, I immediately knew I wanted to talk to Eduardo.
A Spirit Guide appeared and told us the assignment had changed. Instead of healing the planet alone, Spirit wants me to invite ALL SACRED BEINGS to join me in lighting up the world with sacred music. She said my role in this assignment is crucial, stressing that the time is NOW—there is no more time to wait for signs. This assignment aims to counter the dark energy in the world and raise and sustain the sacred energy here on our planet.
In addition to gathering all the sacred beings, I am reaching out to people here on Earth who are committed to their spiritual practice. Anyone who has had a healing with me probably has a sacred music playlist I prepared. If you are not still actively listening to them, it is time to recommit and make it a part of your daily life. I am also considering commissioning a special sacred music sound immersion piece for this assignment.
Please listen to uplifting sacred music that makes you happy, peaceful, and spiritually aligned. You want these feelings for yourself, your loved ones, and the world. Moving your body to the music will be even more powerful. Spirit wants you to feel optimistic about your future and the future of our world. Let your joy permeate everything you do. See the power of sound creating a balance for everything in the Universe. Know in your heart that the darkness will no longer be able to survive.
Trusting the patience process.
I am a big believer in baby steps. If having patience causes you to feel anxious, stressed, or other negative emotions, be gentle with yourself. Initially, challenge yourself to be patient for one day at a time. If necessary, start with shorter waiting periods, like waiting to reply to a message or to eat a treat. Eventually, you will realize that it has become second nature for you. You will build increased tolerance for discomfort and strengthen your self-control.
If you are struggling, remind yourself of the lessons your patience will bring you. Embrace the learning opportunities. You can also ask yourself, "In a week, month, or years from now, will this matter to me?" Allow yourself to feel curious rather than stressed. If you are anxious, naming what you are feeling helps create distance. Be sure to use "I" statements, like "I am feeling frustrated" (which indicates that the feeling is temporary) rather than just saying "I am frustrated" (which sounds like you are saying "I am a frustrated person"). Remind yourself these are temporary thoughts and feelings.
Tools for your progress.
You want to pay attention to when you are patient and when you are not. Journaling is a great way to dig deeper and understand your thoughts, feelings, and reactions more clearly. Use visualization techniques to see yourself successfully handling a frustrating situation. Repeat a calming mantra phrase like "This too shall pass" or "I choose calm." I love the phrase, "I live my life with grace and ease." Make affirmations for yourself about patience, and read them daily.

I will send you information on the customized sound immersion when available. In the meantime, here is one of my favorite joyful sacred music playlists. I listened to it while writing this blog; my body moved to the rhythm of the music. At one point, I was inspired to stop writing, get up, and do a full-body dance.

The world is at a tipping point. In addition to joining me on this project, please let me know what else you need from me. More intuitive shamanic energy sessions? Life Coaching sessions? Online classes? What topics would you like me to cover in my future blog musings and online courses?
And one last thing—a funny side note to the Spirit Guide message.
At one point, Eduardo said, "She is saying something that hopefully makes sense to you because I don't understand it. She said you need to change your shoes." I burst out laughing—I have had several falls in the past 1.5 years and recently realized almost no tread was left on my shoes. So, I bought new sandals and a pair of tennis shoes. But, sometimes, I wear my old tennis shoes with some tread left. The Spirit Guide was adamant that I heed her advice, so she again told Eduardo I needed to change my shoes. I had not communicated with Eduardo in quite a while; he was unaware of my falls. The two warnings got my attention, and I will give away my two remaining pairs of old shoes.
Peace & Blessings,
Chloe
